The Ria Formosa is one of the only places in Europe where wild seahorses still thrive in their natural habitat. A protected lagoon of extraordinary beauty — shallow, warm, crystal-clear water, and these extraordinary creatures drifting through the sea grass just centimetres from your hand.
We include a guided snorkel session in our 5 and 7-day escapes, and it can be added to any shorter trip on request. No experience necessary — just a willingness to be amazed.
